Mother of LeSean McCoy’s Son Accuses NFL Star of Abuse, Shares Photos of Bruised Child

The mother of LeSean McCoy’s young son said in a court filing Tuesday that she agreed to defend the Buffalo Bills running back against an allegation that he abused the boy even though she said she knew the accusation was true.

In a three-page document filed in Fulton County State Court in Georgia, Stephanie Maisonet said she reluctantly agreed to the deal in exchange for McCoy offering to drop a custody case and allow her to enroll their six-year-old son in a school in Miami.

Maisonet said she previously filed a report with child services – she did not say where or when – after her son would come home bruised and crying after visiting McCoy. She also included a picture of her son with bruises on his chin in the filing.

‘I regret ever agreeing to help LeShawn McCoy in this case,’ Maisonet said in the court document that misspelled McCoy’s first name. ‘I feel like I am sending our son to a monster every two weeks. LeShawn McCoy should be held accountable for his actions, regardless of his career choice or his income.’

Maisonet also posted a video on Instagram of her six-year son tearfully begging to stay with her and not McCoy: ‘I just want to stay with you. My dad say no. I asked him and he said I can’t.’

In another picture in the post, the boy can be seen with bruises on his chin.

McCoy responded by calling Maisonet’s allegations ‘provably false, outrageously inaccurate and offensive,’ in a statement posted on his Twitter account.

‘I have a loving and close knit relationship with my son. That young boy is my whole life,’ McCoy wrote. ‘With a custody case coming in November, I can see why these false allegations are surfacing.’

Along with the Instagram video, Maisonet included a note in the post: ‘I’m so sick of my son coming home from his dads house crying about being ‘Spanked’!! No child should be begging & crying hysterically when it’s time to go to their fathers house!

‘I’m tired of asking the courts for help with this matter & not being heard bc of WHO HIS FATHER IS! I will fight for the safety of my child by any means necessary! No more unexplained bruises, no more excuses! & shut up w/ ‘Don’t tell me how to discipline my son’ THATS MY SON!’

Maisonet’s allegations were added to a lawsuit filed last month by McCoy’s ex-girlfriend, Delicia Cordon.

Cordon alleges McCoy failed to protect her after she was bloodied, beaten and had $133,000 worth of jewelry stolen by an intruder at a home the running back owns in Milton, just outside Atlanta.

Maisonet (pictured) said a note posted on her Instagram account saying the allegations of abuse against McCoy were false was written by McCoy's friend, Tamarcus Porter, who is a co-defendant in the lawsuit. She said she provided Porter the password to her account.

Cordon also said McCoy would ‘often brutally beat his dog,’ and would ‘aggressively, physically discipline and beat his young son.’

Last week, McCoy’s lawyers asked a judge to throw out the lawsuit because there was no basis to hold him responsible for Cordon being hurt. They also argued the lawsuit was filled with unrelated false, salacious allegations that were meant to embarrass McCoy and cast him in a bad light.

Cordon did not officially accuse McCoy of playing a role in the attack, which occurred in the early morning hours of July 10.

Maisonet alleged that McCoy may have been involved, accusing him of ‘potentially orchestrating this heinous incident.’

On July 9, she said, she overheard McCoy speaking to someone on the phone and saying, ‘I need to get this (person) out of my house.’

Police were called to this Georgia home in July after McCoy's ex-girlfriend, Delicia Cordon, reported she was victim to a violent home invasion. Cordon claimed to have been pistol whipped by a masked man and, after initially defending him, Maisonet is now accusing McCoy of 'potentially orchestrating this heinous incident'

Maisonet questioned the timing of McCoy’s offer, which she said came after the home invasion.

‘I found this to be odd because he has been fighting me so hard against that during our custody battle,’ Maisonet said. ‘Also, if he did not have any involvement in the home invasion, there is no need to make such an extreme offer.’

Cordon said she was pistol whipped, robbed, hit in the head and locked in a bathroom when an intruder broke into her and McCoy’s Georgia home while she was sleeping on July 10.

Her attorney Tanya Mitchell Graham said her client was convinced that McCoy was involved because the two Cartier bracelets that were taken were the same pieces of jewelry that her ex had been demanding she give him back.

The Buffalo Bills running back gave her the pieces in 2016 for her birthday, and she’d posted about them in a video on her Instagram.

As Graham previously told DailyMail.com: ‘The assailant demanded specific items of jewelry that had been previously gifted to Ms. Cordon by Mr. McCoy, which Mr. McCoy had requested back on many occasions.

‘In fact, after Ms. Cordon refused to return her jewelry gifts to Mr. McCoy, he would often suggest to Ms. Cordon that she could be robbed because the jewelry was expensive.’

The attorney said that the burglar challenged Corden as to where the rest of the jewelry she posted about was.

‘When she said to this person “Hey, I don’t have it, it’s in a safety deposit box.” He accepted that. I’m not certain what type of burglar would accept something like that,’ Graham told CBS News.

Graham said it was also suspicious that the intruder didn’t appear to have to force his way in, and that McCoy had the home’s security system changed about a month before the attack – without giving Cordon a code to arm it.

On June 1, while Cordon was away from the property where she had been living with her children since October 2016, McCoy allegedly ‘had his family, friends, and laborers attempt to wrongfully evict Ms. Cordon from the residence while Ms. Cordon was out-of-state attending her sister’s graduation’,  Graham said.

Able to see what was happening through remote access to the home’s security system, Cordon called police and stopped the eviction.

Graham said after the incident, McCoy had the old cameras removed from the home and cancelled the security service.

‘He had a new security system installed with all new cameras and a new service provider; however, Mr. McCoy did not give Ms. Cordon any information about the new security system,’ the attorney claims.

McCoy sustained cracked rib cartilage in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers

‘She has no access to arm or disarm the alarm.’

Corden, who is still recovering from the vicious assault with visible bruises and swelling on her face, was left traumatized and ‘very, very scared’ by the attack.

The Bills have backed McCoy, with general manager Brandon Beane previously saying no evidence has come to light to change McCoy’s status with the team. The 30-year-old is playing in his 10th NFL season and fourth with Buffalo after being acquired in a trade with Philadelphia.

He led the NFL in yards rushing in 2013.

McCoy sustained cracked rib cartilage in Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

NFL Network reported McCoy had multiple fractured ribs, but later clarified to say McCoy believed Sunday night he had fractures before finding out Monday morning he did not.

ESPN reports McCoy won’t miss more than one game, if that, as it is an injury he has had before. NFL Network added McCoy will attempt to play through the issue against the Minnesota Vikings this week.

McCoy is currently in the fourth year of a five-year, $40 million deal, $18,250,000 of which is guaranteed.
