Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt and his wife, former pro soccer player Dani Watt, are expecting their first child.
The couple shared the news Sept. 1 on Instagram alongside pics of them posing in matching jeans and T-shirts that highlighted Dani Watt’s pregnancy bump.
Several of the pair’s photos also showed Dani Watt, a former Chicago Red Stars forward, holding ultrasound images of her baby-on-the-way.
“February 2025,” the couple captioned their joint post.
Dani Watt, 26, also shared the pics in her Instagram story, captioning one, “We can’t wait to meet you baby.”
Football fans popped into the comments of T.J. Watt’s post to congratulate him.
“Nice, baby comes day after Steelers win Super Bowl cool,” one predicted.
“Future Steelers legend in the making,” wrote another.
The 29-year-old athlete, who was named AP’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2021, is the younger brother of former NFL stars J.J. Watt and Derek Watt.
T.J. Watt and Dani Watt tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in July 2022, a year after T.J. Watt shared pics of his proposal on Instagram.
“I am the luckiest man in the world!!” he wrote at the time. Dani Watt also shared the images on her Instagram, captioning them, “YES. YES. YES,” with a diamond ring emoji.
The couple’s baby news comes less than a month after T.J. Watt honored his wife for the two-year anniversary of their wedding.
“Happy 2 year wedding anniversary to my soulmate!” he captioned a carousel of pics of the two on Instagram. “Through all of the ups and downs, you are my rock. I love you!”
