Jason Kelce’s Wild Ride: From Washing a Cybertruck Shirtless to Peeing in a Bush for a Beer Ad

Shirtless Jason Kelce is back in action, and this time, it’s for a hilarious new beer commercial. The former Philadelphia Eagles center recently shared the story behind his latest ad during an episode of his New Heights podcast, which he hosts with his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The ad, which features Jason washing his Cybertruck alongside his former Eagles teammate Beau Allen, is part of a campaign for Garage Beer and was released on September 9.

“In the least shocking news ever, Jason came up with the idea for the latest Garage Beer commercial,” the podcast posted on X (formerly Twitter), alongside a video of the brothers breaking down the ad’s origin story.

In the commercial, Jason and Beau Allen, donning short shorts and armed with sponges and hoses, wash the Cybertruck while enjoying some Garage Beer. To make the chore even more entertaining, they engage in a playful soapy water fight, all while ZZ Top’s “Gimme All Your Lovin’” blasts in the background. The ad’s humorous, laid-back vibe perfectly matches Jason’s fun-loving personality.

During the podcast, Travis asked Jason how the commercial came to be and who was behind its storyline. “I’ve always loved beer commercials,” Jason explained. “I’ve always loved the old-school ones, like Budweiser ads or The Most Interesting Man in the World. Beer commercials just stick in your mind.”

He went on to share that when he partnered with Garage Beer, he knew he wanted to create something lighthearted and fun—especially now that he’s in the early stages of retirement. “Creatively, it’s fun to think about different ideas. I’m a big idea guy, not a big execution guy. Luckily, we’ve got a bunch of people at Garage Beer who know how to execute ideas.”

When Travis asked if Allen was always his first choice as a co-star, Jason admitted that he had considered other Eagles players like Landon Dickerson, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata. However, since Allen, 32, happened to be in town, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for the two to team up for the ad.

Jason also shared a little-known fact about Cybertrucks: they have a tendency to short-circuit in traditional car washes. He admitted he was slightly nervous about washing his truck for the commercial, but everything went smoothly, and the duo managed to show off their car-washing skills without a hitch.

While Jason is no longer playing in the NFL, he’s still keeping busy during the 2024-2025 football season. In addition to his podcast, he’s now working as a commentator for ESPN’s Monday Night Football. His first appearance came on September 9, but not without a hiccup—he accidentally left his bag in the Cybertruck and had to grab a shirt on his way to the ESPN broadcast at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Jason’s post-NFL life seems to be full of new adventures, including his foray into broadcasting and his creative ventures with Garage Beer. After 13 years with the Philadelphia Eagles, the decision to retire wasn’t easy for him.

“It just became more and more evident after the season that my body is telling me to stop,” Jason said. “I don’t think I could play another season at the level I want to and in a way that’s going to make me happy.”

Even though he’s no longer suiting up on Sundays, Jason Kelce is still bringing joy to fans—whether through his antics in beer commercials or his insights on Monday Night Football.
